Dear Crittenden Families,

We feel extremely fortunate to have such a kind, supportive, and trusting community!  We appreciate our PTA and Crittenden parents that have contributed to making this week special. All of your contributions for our teacher and staff lunch has certainly been the cherry on top. In addition, your kind appreciation cards have brought great warmth and smiles to our spirits!

With such a busy week we are truly proud of our students as they are working hard and diligently in completing their ELA state testing this week. We will continue our testing next week with math state testing. Please continue to ensure your child is well prepared for the next couple of weeks.

Sincerely,

Mrs. Gomez

Crittenden Middle School Principal

What can you do today to help others feel valued, cared for, safe, and included at Crittenden?

SEL Tip

With Standardized testing occurring in the month of May, we want your children to feel confident and show their best efforts.  Many children experience test day anxiety at some point, here are some tips and techniques to help your child manage it.

  • Use positive but not excessive reinforcement. Avoid talking about your own experiences and assure them that they are prepared for these tests.
  • Teach them positive self-talk. Using positive affirmations can help turn their thinking around from debilitating negative thoughts.
  • Help them stick to their usual bedtime and morning routines.

May Character Trait

Our end of the year character trait of the month is Citizenship. Crittenden panthers can earn superhero tickets by simply following school rules, helping keep our school clean and tidy and overall demonstrating good citizenship examples at Crittenden!
