Conference letters sent home this week
Parents, by now you should have received a letter from your child regarding Conferences the week of October 6. Please read the letter and rank (or simply indicate) the times that you are available for a 25-minute conference that week. Please have your child return the letter to his/her homeroom teacher by Friday, September 26.
The week of October 6 is middle school conference week, which means every day (M-F) is a minimum day - students will be dismissed at 12:20. Also very important to note: there will be no late start on Wednesday, October 8. School will begin at 7:55 that morning and end at 12:20. Families, please take note and m
Sign up for the PowerSchool Parent Portal
Thank you to the parents and families who have already set up their PowerSchool Parent Portals. The Parent Portal gives you additional options that the student accounts do not. For example, it gives you the option to get regular emails updating you on your children’s assignments and grades. According to our records, it seems that many parents have not yet set up accounts. If you need assistance or no longer have the information that was sent home with your child two weeks ago, please call the office.
Rainy Day Activity Room
The rain is coming (we really, really hope)! Leadership would like to set up a rainy day activity room full of games like ping pong, foosball and the sort. If you know anyone who would like to get rid of a game table and is willing to donate it to a worthy cause, please contact Ms. Mogin. firstname.lastname@example.org.
Picture retake day: September 30
Lifetouch will be back in a couple of weeks to take make-up pictures at lunch time in the Wrestling Room. All students and staff who were absent or otherwise did not have their pictures taken must take a photo. Student ID pictures are free, but students can also pick up order forms for purchasing pictures from the office.
Crittenden 2014-15 eScrip Drive is here
Have you ever heard of eScrip? If you haven't, the word basically means EASY MONEY for our school!
This is how it works:
- Your family members register any one or all of their existing grocery loyalty, debit and credit cards for use in the program. Like a Safeway club card!
- Participating merchants will make financial contributions to their chosen group, like Crittenden, based on purchases made by them, just by using the cards they have registered.
- The purchases are tracked and available online at www.eScrip.com, allowing your family to see just how much they are earning for Crittenden!
There's no selling any products and NO COST TO YOU OR YOUR FAMILY. It's free and easy. See your first period teacher for the eScrip form and take this home to your family today to start earning thousands of dollars for Crittenden Middle School. The money will be used to fund our dances, student activities, classroom supplies as well as music and art materials. You and your family CAN make a difference in our school. Encourage your family, friends and neighbors to visit eScrip.com and add Crittenden to their membership TODAY!
